California Bird Series: Evening Plumage
A part of the California Bird Series. This picture is evening plumage. Dandy, preening and all around something else. This bird is really something!
Pursuit
Pursuit is a sometimes necessary part of the game of romance. In my imagination we all have antennae-like receptors at the top of our heads that jangle with excitement when they are stimulated. In this picture the young man pursues the young lady, audibly trying to attract her attention.
Jazz (etching printed in sepia) - unframed
Melodic, harmonious, hot and cool, jazz jangles all the synapses in the brain to create just the right feeling.
Three Women and Their Pet (framed)
Etching - 7 7/8” X 4 7/8” - Framed, measurement 19.25" x 16.25".
Three women and their pet, out together. The pet is a metaphor for the strength of the women. This is a small hand-printed edition.
Aquatic Fantasy (unframed)
Etching - 8 1/2” x 12” - Aquatint, Unframed
The strange world of the underwater denizens. A kind of Mulberry Street in the way all kinds of creatures present themselves. Streaming tails and streaming fins. A wonderland to behold.
A New Biological Development (framed)
Etching - 10 3/4” X 7” - Aquatint, Framed, size 18.75" x 15"
In my imagination, biological forms sometimes blend together as plants and animals into surreal forms. Garden Fantasy and A New biological Development are two examples of this part of my oeuvre. Other examples of this combination can also be found in some of my work in other media,
