Barry Gordon passed away on January 9, 2020 from multiple organ failure. In his last years Barry focused solely on his artwork, making paintings  and sculptures with many mediums. You can find details on some of these explorations in his blog and newsletters, and his works are cataloged on this site. Although Barry achieved many careers (Peace Corps, professor, social worker, gallery owner and entrepreneur, financial consultant, real estate agent) he was always first and foremost an artist. Barry is survived by his spouse Rachanee of 50+ years and his two sons Ted and Dan. Through his art he brought playfulness and joy into the world, expressed through fantastical colorful scenes and characters. But his impact was also felt through his intellect and friendships. Barry's art will continue to bring light and commentary to our world. He will be missed.
